Cape Town








Happy Thursday guys!!  Hope you are all having a great week!  I have been packing, doing laundry and trying to get everything ready for our trip to Michigan.  My husband is from Michigan and we go up there every year to visit family and friends over Thanksgiving.  This year we are actually coming home right before Thanksgiving but we are excited for the time we will have with family.  Since we normally drive, we love to stay in Chicago to cut the drive and do some shopping and enjoy the city.  If you have been following my blog for some time now, you most likely know we LOVE Chi-town!  It's one of my favorite cities in the US and being able to stop by there on our way to Michigan makes the trip all that much more exciting!  Can't wait to share our road trip with you guys!

A Romance with Lace

Happy Monday!! Feliz Lunes!! How was everyone's weekend??  We had a great family weekend and Valentine's Day.  I love spending time with my two loves, they just make my heart smile.  This post was inspired by Valentine's Day because I have always found lace to be a very feminine and romantic.  Personally, I'm very drawn to tops and dresses that have lace in them or are made from it, so when I spotted this top I loved it and the bonus part was it's also cropped!  However, I do have to say, I normally wear a small but in this case I ordered a medium so that it would fit me a little longer and not so cropped.  Since the temperatures have been pretty chilly around here, instead of a skirt I paired it with these bell bottom pants to stay warm.  In the end I loved the classy style the top gave the outfit! Hey guys!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I'm all about a cute, basic, little black dress....because as we all know you can never go wrong with black.  I know that summer time is all about the white dress and the lighter hues, but I love to have a basic go to black dress that can work in case I'm out of options. I love how this dress, which also comes in two other colors, is fit on the top and then it flares out at the bottom giving it a fun and relaxed style.  I also love the eyelet pattern on it because it's a more casual look and great to pair with wedges, flats, or a bomber jacket, like I did here.
