Hey guys, hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!  It was freezing here and we even had a little bit of snow on Saturday.  It had been so nice during the week and then once the weekend came around the weather got yucky!

I feel that even though spring is around the corner, we still have weeks before we can really walk around in shorts and tanks, therefore, transition pieces are great for spring and fall because they can always be layered if needed.  This ruffle top is the perfect layering piece, you can throw a leather jacket, cardigan or trench coat over it and not have to worry about being cold.  I love how the ruffles  on the front give it a whimsical style allowing the top to have a more casual look.

Happy Monday!! Feliz Lunes!! A Romance with Lace

Happy Monday!! Feliz Lunes!! How was everyone's weekend??  We had a great family weekend and Valentine's Day.  I love spending time with my two loves, they just make my heart smile.  This post was inspired by Valentine's Day because I have always found lace to be a very feminine and romantic.  Personally, I'm very drawn to tops and dresses that have lace in them or are made from it, so when I spotted this top I loved it and the bonus part was it's also cropped!  However, I do have to say, I normally wear a small but in this case I ordered a medium so that it would fit me a little longer and not so cropped.  Since the temperatures have been pretty chilly around here, instead of a skirt I paired it with these bell bottom pants to stay warm.  In the end I loved the classy style the top gave the outfit! Hey guys!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I'm all about a cute, basic, little black dress....because as we all know you can never go wrong with black.  I know that summer time is all about the white dress and the lighter hues, but I love to have a basic go to black dress that can work in case I'm out of options. I love how this dress, which also comes in two other colors, is fit on the top and then it flares out at the bottom giving it a fun and relaxed style.  I also love the eyelet pattern on it because it's a more casual look and great to pair with wedges, flats, or a bomber jacket, like I did here.
