My Pregnancy Journey

Happy Monday, friends!! I'm officially 39 and a half weeks pregnant and after seeing my doctor this past week, I know I will not be making it to the 40 week mark.  Knowing that this would be my last pregnancy has made this experience that much more special and emotional. Both of my pregnancies have been very easy and I'm so grateful for that. However, this second time around, it is so true what they say....your body knows what it's doing and it starts adjusting very early on. You do show early, your belly seems to pop sooner than the first time, you feel baby kicking and moving weeks before you did with your first one, and you don't realize how fast it goes until you are close to your due date because you have been so busy chasing your first one around.
The last couple months were pretty tiring and emotional for me because I couldn't help but think about how a new baby would change the relationship that Ashton and I have.  If you follow me on Instagram, you might …

My Hospital Bag // What to Pack

Ideas and Tips on what to pack for your hospital stay with baby.......

Hi friends!!  Hope everyone is having a good week! I finally got around to doing my hospital bag yesterday and you would think it would have taken me no more than a couple hours, however, it took me most of the afternoon because I was catching up on laundry and trying to select what I really needed this time around and not add things that were not necessary like my first time.
I have narrowed them down to 15 things, for mom and baby, that I believe are essentials and will help you have a comfortable stay while enjoying your new little one.
Mommy ::
1) A Robe , hospitals can be cold and this will keep you warm and comfortable during your stay.

2) Nursing Tank Tops , you will be living in these if you decide to breastfeed, so I would buy a couple to get you through..... I also have these and love them! 3) Warm Socks , if you are anything like me and get cold easily......a couple pairs of warm socks will make your sta…

My Blogging World

My Perspective and Thoughts on Blogging.......

Happy 2018!!!  What an exciting year this one is going to be! On a personal level, the highlight of our year will most definitely be welcoming our baby boy to our family. On a business level, I'm looking forward to growing my blog and really creating a space that allows me to share my life, my family, my everyday style and any tips or products I find helpful for you as a reader.

When I started this blog in April of 2013(you can see my first post here), I really was not sure how the blogging world worked nor did I ever imagine what it would become....I just knew that I enjoyed creating different looks, playing with my style, and to share it with my friends and anyone who was interested.  During that time, I happened to run into a fashion blog that I followed religiously for years and still follow today, that gave me the courage to say, "I think I can do this too"!

Fast forward to today, blogging has become a force, it's …

Happy Sunday!!  It's the last day of 2017 and what a fulfilling and exciting year it has been for us!  We were blessed with the news of finding out we were pregnant in early May and knowing that we would be welcoming a little brother and best friend for Ashton is definitely the best gift 2017 brought us.  With that said, it was also time to start thinking about the changes this new little boy would bring and how we were going to adjust from being a family of 3 to becoming a family of 4.  Through the next months, I experienced a roller coaster of emotions due to knowing that my little baby would soon be a little boy and soon enough we would ha…

Happy Tuesday!!  Wishing everyone a great week!  Today on the blog I wanted to answer a couple questions I have been receiving in the last couple weeks about my pregnancy. I did a Q&A back when I was 21 weeks pregnant and now I'm 31 weeks and in my third trimester so things are starting to become more real with each passing day!
Below are some of the questions I have been getting ::
1) Is Ashton aware or does he understand he will soon be a big brother?
Ashton definitely knows or senses there are things changing, specially with mommy. I don't think he quite understands the concept of having a little brothe…

Cozy Afternoons

A Pop of Red......

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful week!  I wore this cozy and comfy outfit over the weekend to run errands with my little family and go to was perfect for the cold and dreary day. One of my favorite things to do during this time of the year is wear my red lipstick! I don't know if it's because I'm in the holiday spirit and red always makes me think of Christmas....or because I don't wear it enough during the year that I use the holiday's as an excuse. Whatever it is, I tend to gravitate toward it more around fall. I like to give a neutral or simple outfit a pop of color to highlight certain aspects of the outfit.  In this case, I think the pop of red highlights the earthy tones on the scarf.  Likewise, this scarf is so versatile....its a scarf, poncho and wrap all in one!  I love pieces that can be used in multiple ways.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!  Hope you have a wonderful week!

Statement Pieces

When all else have statement earrings

Hi everyone!  Hope everyone had a wonderful month of October and a great start to your November!  As you may have read on my last post and seen through my Instagram, we were in Colorado last week on our little family vacation.  I plan on doing a blog post sharing some of our family pictures and all my recommendations on places to eat, visit and a couple things to do.
Over the weekend Todd and I got a chance to have a day date and it was so nice to be able to get away from our little guy for a little bit and belly up to a bar, have some pizza and just talk.  It's so good to be able to spend one on one time with your loved one and remember why you fell in love. Since I'm officially six and a half months pregnant I'm definitely taking advantage of those maternity jeans.  Let's face it, when you are pregnant and the baby starts growing it gets harder and harder to find things to wear, that look cute and that are comfort…
