Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a wonderful week!  This past weekend was a little hectic around here, we celebrated Ashton's first birthday on Saturday so you can imagine all the running around I was doing.  We had our family and very close friends over and it turned out to be a very nice afternoon.  I'm sure Ashton won't remember it but he will have tons of pictures to let him know how loved he is and how happy we were to celebrate him.

I'm so excited for fall, I can hardly wait!  I stopped buying summer clothes like a month ago because I'm kind of over it.  Is that bad?  While I love summer, I have to confess, fall is my favorite time of the year!  The crisp morning air, the change of color in the leaves of the trees, the long cardigans with jeans and booties, Sunday football and chili soup are some of the things I love and always look forward to every year.  This style is one I will be wearing quite often this fall, booties and a long sweater dress......it's so comfy and cute all in one, which is my favorite.  I love the slit on the side and the color on this sweater dress, very versatile and for any occasion.  It would look really cute with a leather or jean jacket for a night out to dinner or drinks.

Happy Monday!! Feliz Lunes!! A Romance with Lace

Happy Monday!! Feliz Lunes!! How was everyone's weekend??  We had a great family weekend and Valentine's Day.  I love spending time with my two loves, they just make my heart smile.  This post was inspired by Valentine's Day because I have always found lace to be a very feminine and romantic.  Personally, I'm very drawn to tops and dresses that have lace in them or are made from it, so when I spotted this top I loved it and the bonus part was it's also cropped!  However, I do have to say, I normally wear a small but in this case I ordered a medium so that it would fit me a little longer and not so cropped.  Since the temperatures have been pretty chilly around here, instead of a skirt I paired it with these bell bottom pants to stay warm.  In the end I loved the classy style the top gave the outfit! Hey guys!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I'm all about a cute, basic, little black dress....because as we all know you can never go wrong with black.  I know that summer time is all about the white dress and the lighter hues, but I love to have a basic go to black dress that can work in case I'm out of options. I love how this dress, which also comes in two other colors, is fit on the top and then it flares out at the bottom giving it a fun and relaxed style.  I also love the eyelet pattern on it because it's a more casual look and great to pair with wedges, flats, or a bomber jacket, like I did here.
